Online training gives you the flexibility to do it at your own pace, while in-person training offers a chance for hands-on experience of real-world fire safety procedures.

And the best part? Our training programs are all aligned with Australian Standards, such as AS 3745-2010, to make it easy to get certified upon completion and ensure you're always meeting your obligations.

Why Fire Warden Training is Not Just a Suggestion - It's the Law in Rockhampton

Just like the rest of Australia, in Rockhampton fire warden training is not optional - it's the law. AS 3745-2010 and Work Health and Safety legislation make it clear that businesses have to have appointed and trained fire wardens, especially in high-risk environments.

The Penalties for Not Having Trained Fire Wardens:

  • Fines Galore: Not having trained fire wardens can mean big fines for businesses.
  • Trouble in Court: In the event of a fire or emergency, not having trained fire wardens could lead to serious consequences for your business.
  • Insurance Nightmare: Without trained fire wardens, your business insurance may not be valid - leaving you high and dry in the event of a fire.

How Many Fire Wardens Do You Need in Your Workplace?

It generally works out about one fire warden per 20 employees on-site, but it can vary depending on the size of your workplace, the level of risk, and the number of employees.

  • Staffing Up: One fire warden per 20 people on-site, or based on the specific needs of your business.
